They are about the everyday experience of living in a fast-growing city. Abuja's growth has been one of Nigeria's great urban stories. Over the past two decades, population expanded rapidly, new neighbourhoods spread across what was once open land. For families who moved into these communities, promise of modern city life has sometimes been undercut by infrastructure that arrived later than residents. Electricity has been one of the most visible gaps. Overloaded substations and weak supply mean frequent outages, low voltage and heavy generator dependence. The Kuje/Wumba/Lokogoma Substations Project, certified complete and fully operational by Transmission Company of Nigeria in June 2022 , was built to change that experience....
